Environmental Science.

In the Department of Earth, Ocean, and Ecological Sciences we research and teach about the solid Earth, its climate, and oceans, and about how groups of organisms evolve and interact. The University of Liverpool has taught Ocean and Earth Science subjects for over one hundred years, so our accumulated experience and expertise mean that we understand very well how to teach innovative Ocean and Earth Sciences in a supportive, friendly way.

The Department of Geography and Planning consists of two traditional disciplines. With Geography courses on offer since 1886, Geography is one of the longest established schools in the world. Spatial Planning (also known as Civic Design) is the oldest and one of the best-known planning schools in the world. Research interests of this Department revolve around diverse ways in which humans respond to and manage aspects of environmental change.
